There are two ways of considering photographs:
– as relationships (things, people, forms, shapes, tones)
– as actualities (events, renderings, evidence)
Time matters in both aspects, as does
the moment, as does
truth and veracity, as does
story and narrative, as does
expectation and imagination.
No photograph and
no person looking at a photograph is
free of this.
