Geoff Frosh. 1988.
platinum-palladium print on 100% cellulose (Fabriano 5) from 8×10 original negative.
I have written more extensively about portraiture with regard to this photograph. Geoff just gave this moment to me, and it came as one more gift in a series of gifts. A few years earlier, he had given me my first 8×10 camera – it was a monster Cambo monorail, but I learned how to work this format thanks to its huge range of movements. This portrait was done with the same camera. Geoff, thank you, and I hope you are still photographing!
